Lauren Viramontes

Meet Lauren Viramontes, a masters prepared, double board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). I have been a nurse practitioner since 2014 and have dedicated my clinical practice to providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health care. I am committed to helping individuals achieve optimal mental wellness. .

I am originally trained as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and earned my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from the University of New Hampshire. With a foundation in primary care and urgent care settings, I focused on health promotion, disease prevention, and managing acute and chronic illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages.

During my practice, I developed a deep passion for mental health and sought to expand my scope of practice. Motivated by this passion, I pursued additional training in psychiatric mental health nursing. I obtained dual board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts, and my area of practice now focuses specifically on mental health.

My previous experience in family practice serves me greatly when working with clients on their mental health needs. It provides me with a comprehensive understanding of their medical history, allowing for a holistic approach to their mental healthcare. I value a patient-centered holistic approach to care emphasizing collaboration, empathy, and recognizing that mental healthcare is not a “one-size-fits-all”. I strive to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, which may include medication, therapy, and the utilization of genetic testing to help guide medication recommendations. Additionally, treatment plans emphasize the importance of lifestyle factors such as nutrition, exercise, and sleep.

I am currently accepting new clients and work with individuals ages 16 and up. My specialties include but are not limited to mood disorders, anxiety, depression, panic, OCD, bipolar disorder, trauma, attention and concentration difficulties, troubled thought patterns, and those who may be struggling with life changes. I am conservative in my prescribing practices.

I am a New Hampshire native and outside of the office, I enjoy spending time in the mountains, traveling, catching a concert at Red Rocks or attending the theater.
